* Check that the Boot Switch S3 is set to ON. S3 allows the Boot Switch Banks S1 and S2 to override the SOM's default bootstrap settings.

Serial Communication Setup
--------------------------

* Using the provided micro-USB Serial Cable, connect the |usb-debug-uart-ref| Serial Debug Port of the |product| Development Kit to an available USB port on your Host Machine.

* You should see two COM Ports provided by the |product| Development Kit's FTDI USB to UART Bridge. **You will need the lower COM Port Number in the following steps in order to establish serial communication with Linux running on the target hardware.**

  * The |product| Development Kit configures two COM Ports; one for Linux running in the MAIN domain (Cortex-A53 compute cluster) of the |soc-caps| processor, and the other for the MCU domain (reserved for the real-time co-processors).
