Install NXP EVK SDK
This guide provides instructions for installing NXP’s MIXMRT1170 Evaluation Kit (EVK) SDK using the MCUXpresso IDE. The PHYTEC phyCORE-RT1170 development kit was intentionally designed to align with the EVK, making it easy to adapt EVK examples to the development kit with minor pin mux adjustments. Various EVK SDK examples will be utilized in Interface Guides.
Be sure to follow either the Install the PHYTEC SDK on Linux Host or the Install the PHYTEC SDK on Window Host before proceeding in this guide. These guides show how to install the MCUXpresso IDE tool from NXP.
With the MCUXpresso IDE tool open, click the “Import SDK example(s)” in the left side corner.
Select the MIMXRT1176xxxxx: MIXMRT1170-EVKB EVK with the NXP SDK version 2.13.1
Select the rtos example “freertos_hello_cm7” and then select “Finish”. The Interface Guides will walk through which SDK examples to use when verify peripheral functions.
Verify that the SDK is installed by viewing the “Installed SDKs” tab.
